Reports to:           Engineering Manager

Basic Functions:

• Design and Analyze industrial buildings and conveyor systems including preliminary design, calculation, cost and equipment selection.
• Check and stamp structural drawings and plans.
• Responsible for leading team of Structural designers and AutoCAD operators to develop conceptual and manufacturing quality drawings custom designed bulk material handling components and projects. 
• Responsible to meet Project deadlines and quality goals.
• Communicate with Supervisors, Managers, CFO, and Vice-Presidents on project operations.
• Conduct surveys to gather field data as required.
• Prepare and interpret scale drawings, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids.
• Prepare technical construction specifications.
• Perform Structural designing duties surrounding the following; bulk material handling systems, conveyor systems, precision loading systems, transportation equipment, environmental control.
• Conceptually envision project requirements and maintain project budgets by making educated decisions. 

Experience and Skills Required:

• Candidate must have a BS in Engineering at a minimum.
• PE license in structural engineering may be required.
• 5 years of relevant Structural design experience required.
• Knowledge of CAD tools, Structural software, Microsoft Office and Basic computer skills required.
• Work requires travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections.   This requires the possession of a valid state drivers license and possibly valid US passport.
• References from past employers with knowledge of candidate’s capabilities may be required.
